“Human trafficking is not a distant problem, it is a real and present evil that exists in our own communities, and it demands decisive action. As your State Representative, I will work relentlessly to strengthen our laws, increase penalties for traffickers, and ensure that law enforcement has the tools and training necessary to identify and dismantle these criminal networks. I will also advocate for robust support systems for survivors, recognizing that true justice includes restoration and protection for those who have been victimized. Iowa must be a state where traffickers find no refuge and where every individual’s dignity is fiercely defended, and I am committed to doing my part in the legislature to make that a reality.”
